DNA: sending as your domain
Before you start
Reports for example.com name DNA as the source when mail as example.com came from an address in DNA's network, or carries a DKIM signature from dnainternet.fi.
DNA Sähköposti, DNA's email service, is for consumer customers, and DNA no longer opens new accounts in it. DNA's page says only DNA's own address can be the sending address. You can use another address as the Reply-To. So DNA Sähköposti does not send mail with example.com in the From address, and DNA's pages describe no way to change that.
DNA's outgoing mail servers are smtp.dnamail.fi, which DNA recommends, smtp.welho.com, smtp.dnainternet.net and smtp.dna044.com. DNA's page says they work without signing in from DNA's network. DNA's pages say nothing about SPF, DKIM or DMARC.
Mail sent from DNA's network
When reports show mail from DNA that uses example.com with neither DKIM nor aligned SPF, it fails DMARC. DNA's pages describe no way to send as example.com, name no SPF include, and describe no DKIM signing with your domain.
- Find the device or program that sends as example.com from a DNA connection or through one of DNA's outgoing servers.
- If nobody at your organization sends from a DNA connection, treat the mail as someone else sending as you.
Check it worked
Most mailbox providers send one report a day. Reports from the next 24 to 48 hours show whether mail from DNA's network still uses example.com.
