Maventa: sending as your domain

Before you start

Maventa sends an invoice by email when it cannot deliver it as an e-invoice, or when you choose email for it. Maventa says all invoice emails are sent from noreply@mail.maventa.com, and that this address is fixed and cannot be customised.

So Maventa's invoice mail does not carry example.com in its From address. DMARC reports cover mail by its From domain, so this mail is not in the reports sent to your reporting address.

Your own address goes in as the reply address. When a recipient replies to an invoice, the reply goes to the first of these addresses that exists:

  1. The contact email address, under Additional information to show in the email content on the Via email tab of Invoice settings > Sending invoices, or set through the API.
  2. The email address of the API user.
  3. The company email address, in Company settings > Company details, or set through the API.

Maventa's pages describe no setting that sends invoices as example.com, and no records to add to example.com.

SPF

Maventa's pages name no SPF include for example.com. Its invoice mail is sent as noreply@mail.maventa.com, so an entry in the SPF record of example.com has no effect on it.

Check it worked

In Invoice settings > Sending invoices, the contact email address is one at example.com. Maventa shows a new contact address in invoice emails only after it has been confirmed.
