Buy or change a paid plan
On every plan
An admin buys a paid plan under Settings › Plan and billing and pays by card on Mollie's page. The same page switches between monthly and yearly payments, moves to another paid plan and cancels. Your domains, members and reports stay as they are, and nobody signs up again.
Only admins see Plan and billing. A member who wants another plan asks an admin of the organization.
Prices
Starter costs nothing and does not expire. The paid plans:
- Pro: 5.90 EUR a month or 59 EUR a year, with 5 domains
- Teams: 9.90 EUR a month or 99 EUR a year, with 10 domains
- Enterprise: 19.90 EUR a month or 199 EUR a year, with 25 domains
Prices exclude VAT. Each domain beyond the ones a paid plan includes costs 1 EUR a month or 10 EUR a year. Starter monitors 1 domain, with no room for more. The pricing page compares everything else the plans include, and Invoices, credit notes and VAT says when VAT is added.
Buy a paid plan
- Open Settings › Plan and billing.
- Under Choose a paid plan, pick the plan and the Billing period: Monthly or Yearly. Select Enter billing details.
- Give the details the invoices are made out to: the name, the address, the country, your VAT number and the email address the invoices go to. A business in another EU country can pay only with a VAT number that VIES confirms. Elsewhere the number is optional.
- Read Your bill below the details. It lists the plan for the first period, any domains above the ones the plan includes, the VAT and the total. It changes when you change the plan, the billing period, the country or the VAT number.
- Select the button that names the total. Paying accepts the terms.
- Mollie's page asks for the card and takes the payment. We never see the card number. Mollie then brings you back.
The plan starts when Mollie confirms the payment, and its features work at once. While Mollie confirms, the page says so and changes when the answer comes. If the payment does not go through, nothing is charged, the plan stays as it was, and Try again takes you back to the checkout.
Every admin gets an email that the organization is on the plan, with the date and the amount of the next payment. The invoice goes to the billing email.
The plan renews every month or every year on the day it started, charged to the card you paid with, until you cancel. When a month has no such day, the plan renews on that month's last day.
Monthly or yearly
Under Change or cancel, select Switch to yearly or Switch to monthly. The next page shows the day the switch takes effect and what each period costs from then. Confirm with the same button.
The switch takes effect at your next renewal. The period you paid for stays as it is, and nothing is charged or refunded now. Until the renewal, the plan page says when you switch, and Undo the switch keeps things as they are. Domains above the included ones are billed for the same period as the plan.
Move to a higher plan
Under Change or cancel, each paid plan you can move to has its own button. The next page says what the move costs before you confirm.
A move to a higher plan takes effect at once. The new plan's features work straight away, and what a lower plan paused works again, unchanged: API tokens, webhook endpoints, shared alert channels, share links and relays. Nothing is charged now. Your next payment adds the price difference for the days left in this period, plus VAT, and charges the new plan's price from then on.
If you cancel before that payment, the difference is still charged. See the final charge.
Move to a lower plan
Use the lower plan's button under Change or cancel. The next page lists what the lower plan does not include before you confirm.
A move to a lower paid plan takes effect when the current period ends. Until then you keep the plan you have, and the plan page says when you move, with a button that keeps your plan instead. At the renewal, the lower plan's price applies. Its features change that day, and domains, members and history stay for 14 days before the lower plan's limits apply. What happens when you move to a lower plan has each step.
To move to Starter, cancel the paid plan.
Cancel a paid plan
Under Change or cancel, select the button that cancels your plan. The next page lists what cancelling does before you confirm.
- The plan stays until the end of the period you paid for. Then the organization moves to Starter, and the step down begins: domains, members and history stay for 14 days, then the limits of Starter apply.
- There is no refund for the unused part of the period. The payment terms say when we refund.
- Every admin gets an email with the day the plan ends.
- Until that day, the plan page has a button that keeps the plan, and then nothing ends.
- Domains added during the last period are not billed.
While a cancel waits, the page offers no move and no switch. Keep the plan first, then change it.
While a payment is failing, you cannot cancel. Pay it first, or see When a card payment fails.
The final charge
If you moved to a higher plan during this period and cancel before the next payment, the difference for the rest of that period is still owed. We charge it to your card when the plan ends, as one payment with its own invoice. The cancel page and the plan page say how much before you confirm.
Extra domains
Each domain above the ones your plan includes costs 1 EUR a month, or 10 EUR a year on a yearly plan. The form that adds a domain says what it costs before you add it.
- A new domain that takes you above the most domains you have had this period adds its price for the rest of the period to your next payment, plus VAT. From that payment on, it costs the full price.
- Adding a domain back after removing one in the same period costs nothing more for that period, because you had that many domains already.
- Removing a domain gives no credit for the period. It is no longer billed from the next payment.
- While a payment is failing, you cannot add a domain above the ones your plan includes.
A plan our staff granted
